Marco Arandia, OD

Dr. Arandia was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He completed his undergraduate studies at Concordia University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology. Following graduation, he gained his first exposure to the eyecare field working at EyeHealth Northwest, which inspired him to pursue further education at Pacific University, where he earned his Doctorate in Optometry.

As a healthcare professional, Dr. Arandia is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. His approach emphasizes clear communication and ensuring that patients have a comprehensive understanding of their eye health.

Dr. Arandia is an active member of the Oregon Optometric Physicians Association and the American Optometric Association.

In his leisure time, Dr. Arandia enjoys spending quality moments with his family, cooking and baking, traveling, exploring different cuisines, and staying active through soccer.

Laura McIntyre, OD

Dr. Laura McIntyre earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in 2023. With a deep passion for optometry, she finds fulfillment in assessing a patient’s overall health through comprehensive eye exams. Dr. McIntyre is a strong advocate for patient education, believing it is essential for effective treatment and management. She emphasizes the importance of understanding the “why” behind treatments, whether it involves managing blood sugar levels for diabetes or adhering to a specific drop schedule for artificial tears, to empower patients to follow her recommendations with confidence.

With over 18 years of diverse experience in both military and civilian roles, private practice, and academia, Dr. McIntyre has honed her skills in a variety of settings. Her background includes working in hospitals, where she developed strong communication skills with healthcare providers, technicians, medical staff, assisted living personnel, and social workers.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. McIntyre and her husband relocated to the Pacific Northwest after her acceptance into the Optometry program at Pacific University. They quickly fell in love with the region, appreciating its natural beauty and diverse landscapes. Whether it’s exploring the coast, wine country, mountains, or deserts, Dr. McIntyre enjoys the unique opportunities the PNW offers. In her free time, she loves traveling, hiking, kayaking, camping, trying new foods and restaurants, and reading.

Daniel J. Lee, M.D.

Dr. Daniel J. Lee is a fellowship trained cornea specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist with special interests in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and anterior segment reconstruction.

Dr. Lee discovered ophthalmology while working as an ophthalmic technician during college. He loved the field so much that he decided to apply to medical school solely to become an ophthalmologist. After completing his medical school training in Wisconsin, he completed his internship in Chicago where he was enlisted to help manage ICU patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Lee moved to Portland where he completed his residency training at OHSU. He was so loved by OHSU faculty and patients that he was able to remain there to complete his fellowship training in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery.

Dr. Lee has extensive surgical experience in complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation (full and partial thickness transplantation), iris/pupil reconstruction, secondary intraocular lens implantation, and laser vision correction (LASIK, PRK). He also offers astigmatism correcting (toric), multifocal, and light adjustable lens (LAL) options for suitable cataract surgery candidates.

He lives in Portland with his wife, two dogs, and two cats. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, and international travel.

Dr. Jonathan Marquett has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest. He was raised in Oregon City and went to college at Pacific University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in biology and his doctorate in Optometry. After graduating he completed a primary care and ocular disease residency with the Portland VA healthcare system.

As a healthcare provider, Dr. Marquett is dedicated to providing his patients with thoughtful and thorough care. Furthermore, he hopes to provide an environment that allows his patients to play an active role in their own health.

In his free time, Dr. Marquett is an avid sports fan (go Hawks) and enjoys exploring the wonders of the Northwest through hiking, fishing and camping.
